How to Make Handmade Soaps of Lemon, Vinegar and Alcohol Without Caustic Soda

Ingredients
1 liter of Cold Water
2 bars of Glycerin Soap
50 ml. of Alcohol
10 tbsp. of Common Sugar
6 tbsp. of Powdered Soap
Grated zest of 3 lemons
50 ml. of Alcohol Vinegar
Preparation
To begin, pour the liter of water into a pot and bring it to a boil along with the lemon peels. Once it starts boiling, leave it for about 5 minutes so that the water absorbs all the aroma.
In the meantime, grate the 2 bars of soap.
After 5 minutes, remove the lemon peels from the water, lower the heat, and gradually add the grated soap. It’s important to stir while adding the grated soap to mix it perfectly, although it might take a while to melt completely, so patience is key.
After 20 minutes, add the powdered soap and continue mixing.
Once the powdered soap has dissolved, incorporate the 10 tablespoons of sugar without stopping stirring.
Finally, add the alcohol and vinegar. At this step, you can add a dye of your choice, I recommend yellow or green.
Turn off the heat and pour the mixture into a soap mold or any container you have on hand. After 6 hours, you can cut and shape it as you like.
Important: Before using the soap, let it rest for about 5 days to be completely cured.
And that’s it! You can now use your homemade lemon soap. Try it with any type of clothing, whether black or colored.
